From the Depths of Time

Some places speak loudly… of the past, of other times, of having a presence. And some places need to be seen in the right light. When Matt took me to Ben Lomond in Tasmania for the first time, we both agreed that if we could see it in fog, it would be so much more impressive (and expressive!). When we checked the upcoming weather, we saw that there was some solid cloud forecast for a few days’ time so of course we decided to go back. After a 4am start, a slow drive up the mountain in the dark avoiding pademelons, possums, wallabies, a wombat and a baby spotted quoll!), we then had to wait for a couple of hours, being teased by heavy fog that refused to budge. Finally, we were rewarded with a spectacular series of break-through light sessions, where the cloud thinned just enough for the sun to penetrate and light up the mist and rocks before plunging us back into thick cloud. The tantalising mist; the ever-changing colour temperature; the prehistoric-looking rocks; the feeling of presence; the calls of the currawongs; sharing one another’s peaceful companionship… it was truly a morning I will never forget.
Ben Lomond, you are indeed a mighty and magnificent mountain!!

Fine Art Papers
Our prints are created using beautiful fine art cotton rag paper. The paper holds rich colours as well as subtle detail and is a perfect pairing for our photographic art. The museum grade paper meets ISO 9706 Paper Ageing Resistance to ensure an archival grade print, suitable for handing down through generations. We recommend liaising with your local framer about how to match your frame, matting and glass to best suit your print, your home, and your décor. All paper prints come rolled in a heavy-duty tube to protect them. The measurements supplied are of the outer dimensions of the paper. Each print contains a white border between 5-10cm, depending on size, for the purposes of presentation and framing.

Float-framed Canvas Prints
Our Canvas prints have beautiful texture and richness and come framed and ready-to-hang in your home or workplace. The canvas is of excellent quality with a fine texture and excellent archival ratings, and together with the pigment inks, have been lab tested to last over 100 years without fading when displayed suitably. Stretcher bars are from environmentally friendly regrowth forest in Australia and New Zealand. We strictly avoid timber from non-regrowth forests and timbers with high tannin and tannic acid in order to preserve the environment and the archival quality of the canvas. Float-frames come in several finishes. You can view these finishes on our Print Information page. Once you order the Float-framed canvas of your choice, we will be in contact directly to confirm your choice of frames.

Aluminium
Aluminium prints are luminous, contemporary and robust. Chromaluxe aluminium panels are made with recycled material and are 100% recyclable. Archival inks are infused into a durable and scratch-resistant surface via a heat press process. Aluminium prints can be cleaned with a glass cleaner, are light-weight and long-lasting. This makes them perfect for those wanting a modern finish for their home, or for art pieces that will be in more challenging environments such as a busy kitchen, or bathroom.
