Little Leaves
When I was a little kid, my parents bought a paddock which they transformed into a vineyard and winery. The whole family was involved, including me and my two siblings who were dragged out on the weekends to “the block” as the vines were being planted, sometimes entertaining ourselves – sometimes working in the vineyard. Not long after we opened the winery, my dad bought some deciduous trees as saplings to plant along the property boundary beside the highway where an old railway line used to run. Despite our fierce protestations, he insisted that the three of us children plant these trees. He had admirable foresight, because now, every year in Autumn, our avenue of magnificent Claret Ash and Silver Birch trees is admired by the many visitors who come to see the stunning Autumn colours in our region. It makes us quite proud to have contributed to people’s enjoyment of our little town! This is a close-up of the delicate, draping leaves of one of those special Silver Birches on a particularly foggy morning.
Like many photographers, I was initially a “Grand Scenic” kind of landscape photographer – always on the hunt for the Epic, Glorious and Vast, often using a wide-angle lens, and trying to capture it in the most dramatic and colourful sunrise/sunset light. Over time, I have slowly come to fully appreciate more intimate and abstract scenes, as I feel that they allow a more personal approach where you can really share the way you see the world, particularly in places where one step to the left or right can result in a completely different perspective on the scene. I often use my 70-200mm lens for this purpose, and photograph subjects like leaves, ice patterns, reflections and water patterns, bark, interesting rocks and sand patterns. It gives me a wonderful sense of satisfaction to spend time exploring the more intimate side of Nature and discover compositions that are pleasing to the viewer!

Open Edition
Prints in the Open Edition are held to an exceptional standard of quality, creativity and craft that make them suitable for any home or workplace. Each Open Edition print is digitally signed and represents excellent value. Open Editions are printed on the same high-quality finishes as our Deluxe prints.
Fine Art Papers
Our prints are created using beautiful fine art cotton rag paper. The paper holds rich colours as well as subtle detail and is a perfect pairing for our photographic art. The museum grade paper meets ISO 9706 Paper Ageing Resistance to ensure an archival grade print, suitable for handing down through generations. We recommend liaising with your local framer about how to match your frame, matting and glass to best suit your print, your home, and your décor. All paper prints come rolled in a heavy-duty tube to protect them. The measurements supplied are of the outer dimensions of the paper. Each print contains a white border between 5-10cm, depending on size, for the purposes of presentation and framing.
Float-framed Canvas Prints
Our Canvas prints have beautiful texture and richness and come framed and ready-to-hang in your home or workplace. The canvas is of excellent quality with a fine texture and excellent archival ratings, and together with the pigment inks, have been lab tested to last over 100 years without fading when displayed suitably. Stretcher bars are from environmentally friendly regrowth forest in Australia and New Zealand. We strictly avoid timber from non-regrowth forests and timbers with high tannin and tannic acid in order to preserve the environment and the archival quality of the canvas. Float-frames come in several finishes. You can view these finishes on our Print Information page. Once you order the Float-framed canvas of your choice, we will be in contact directly to confirm your choice of frames.
Aluminium
Aluminium prints are luminous, contemporary and robust. Chromaluxe aluminium panels are made with recycled material and are 100% recyclable. Archival inks are infused into a durable and scratch-resistant surface via a heat press process. Aluminium prints can be cleaned with a glass cleaner, are light-weight and long-lasting. This makes them perfect for those wanting a modern finish for their home, or for art pieces that will be in more challenging environments such as a busy kitchen, or bathroom.
Postage
Postage to Australian and New Zealand addresses is free! If you are an international purchaser, please order your print as usual (or contact us in advance) and we will send you a quote for the postage of your selected prints.
